the recent huge rains in shanghai
brought back memories of the rain infested singapore
rains during school days
rains during army
rains during car rides
rains during chasing skirts
i decided to make this “big rain” photo when it’s not raining in shanghai, to commemorate my memories for singapore

i was a coward when I was still a kid
when i look at the dark corners in my bedroom
i always imagined there is some kind of unknown, unconquerable fear hidden there
there is actually nothing there

Fallen leaf’s thoughts

few days ago the leaf is still part of the tree
today it is just the fallen one waiting to wither
the cold stone floor stopped the leaf from returning to its roots.
only double exposure can let them get together again.

Against the wind, against the light
dear photography,
my guess is, everyday the airport will take note of the wind direction and choose the direction its planes are going to take off
my present limited knowledge of physics tells me,
that direction must be against the wind.
could this be the reason i subconsciously chose to take this photo against the light?

everyone seems to live very close to each other

the method hong kong used to manage land is very environmental friendly
due to the minimal use of space, less forests and natural habitats will be destroyed
thus not disrupting the lives of other earthlings

Dilemma of the tree

I am a tree that is lucky to survive
my mates, due to the construction behind me,
have all been chopped down, whereabouts unknown
the ironic thing is
to cover up the ugly construction
they put up a canvas with a photo of a forest park
it is very similar to the scene when my mates are still around.

everytime when i was back in taiwan, I love to change metro line at Zhongxiao Fuxing Station,
because I enjoy being able to walk on the express lane from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor and not being stopped.
even though there are couples, children, old people, injured people, feels a little like overtaking during a car race.
